Bodies merging in Art

In the last couple of weeks I’ve joined George Levantis’s life drawing class. George brings an enormous amount of energy and experimentation to the drawing class. Recently, the focus has been on using several life drawing poses of the same person to create a singe image. This ranges from the more traditional ‘life class sheet’ through to images that are more influenced by Francis Bacon.

This is not something that I have focused on before, but it seems to me to have lots of opportunity and interest, especially for physical activities, dance, martial arts etc. I am greatly enthused by this opportunity to bring together abstract values, form, movement and energy.
