This painting was inspired by some rock formations in Guernsey, the play of light across the facets in the rock, the sense of motion inherent in them at the same time as their conventional sense of solidity. The natural colours of Guernsey granite and shadows creating space and movement that is all around us. Looking at places like this is a great joy.
