Slide Tapestry

This tapestry was inspired by some rock formations in Guernsey, the play of light across the facets in the rock, the sense of motion inherent in them at the same time as their conventional sense of solidity.

Medium

New Zealand wool and silk. It is hand knotted tapestry with the Aubusson style executed by Hines of Oxford. The tapestry has a hidden hanging system and is about 1.3 million knots.
